About Bill

Love at first sound
Bill Bosler (1963) was a drummer since childhood. Ten years ago someone pointed out the hammered dulcimer to him. It was love at first sound. 'When I started playing I couldn't stop anymore. I was intrigued. Don't ask me why. The instrument, the sound, the music, it just feels right.' He has been playing ever since and composed several songs. He performs at folk festivals and concerts throughout the year.

Weddings
Bill gets more and more requests for wedding ceremonies. The hammered dulcimer is an excellent instrument for romantic wedding music. Bill has rich repitoire and has learned a specific tune if requested.

Workshops and lessons
Curious about the hammered dulcimer? Bill gives workshops ranging from an introduction to the instrument and its music, primarily geared to libraries and groups looking for an informative and entertaining evening as well as more in depth and specialized topics that he teaches at music festivals. He is also available for
private lessons, either single focused lessons or regular recurring teaching. Just give him a call at 574-298-8513.

Lakeside Melodies
In March of 2006, Bill and Carla bought an old resort and renamed it Lakeside Melodies Resort. They have renovated the resort into a musically themed place. Every cottage of the resort has a music theme: Folk cottage, Blues cottage, Rock 'n Roll cottage, and Jazz cottage. The Country cottage is still under renovation.
